Carol Sigerseth

Obituary of Carol Allardyce Sigerseth

Carol Allardyce Sigerseth, born in Mpls on Christmas Day in 1932, age 91, gently passed away April 15th after a battle with lung cancer. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when her extended family and friends needed her. She was loved by so many and will be missed terribly. She was married to her soul mate William Sigerseth, who died August 2, 2014.  They enjoyed so much life together.  She had 5 children; Tom (died June 25, 2005), John, married to Jeannette, Susan, married to Jerry, Bobby, Eric, one grandson, Eric and second daughter/niece Linda Fullerton, married to Chris with daughters Allie and Annie who called her Gramma. She has many other loving nieces and nephews who were so very close to her and gave her much love and enjoyment. Carol worked for the Mpls Public school system as a Para Professional in the Special Education field and was loved by many children and colleagues.

Carol seemed a quiet woman but in reality she was the cement that held together a large extended family and group of friends. She was always there for everyone and made sure that her home was a warm gathering place.  Everyone was welcome. A million  cherished memories were made in her home. She and Bill took in respite children once they retired, most with special needs. They traveled the US extensively, sometimes on their motorcycle - which included a trip to California for their son John’s retirement from the Navy. They also visited their daughter and son in law in Europe 7 times. Pretty good for a couple who thought they would eat well in retirement but not be able to do much else. The family will hold a celebration of life gathering at a later date. Carol would think that the best way to honor her would be to “share the love” with your family, friends and through random acts of kindness.
